  1. The Department of Anatomy has been functioning since the inception of the medical college (2005).
  2. The Department has progressed with time and presently it has 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 1  Assistant professor and 3 Tutors headed by Prof. Dr. S.Ezhilarasan
  3. The Department is equipped with Museum, Histology Laboratory, Photography room for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. 
  4. The Department is also involved in awareness for whole body donation in Theni district.
  5. The Department plays an important role in integrated learning with clinical side departments.
  6. The Department also motivates MBBS student to involve in various short term Research Projects
  7. The Department is recognized as an important centre for Plastination.
  8. Around 10 Research articles are published in national and international journals.
  9. Infrastructure is available for teaching and demonstration to medical and paramedical students.
  10. The Department conducting Workshop on Plastination for every year in Post Graduate students.
