- The Department of Anatomy has been functioning since the inception of the medical college (2005).
- The Department has progressed with time and presently it has 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 1 Assistant professor and 3 Tutors headed by Prof. Dr. S.Ezhilarasan
- The Department is equipped with Museum, Histology Laboratory, Photography room for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- The Department is also involved in awareness for whole body donation in Theni district.
- The Department plays an important role in integrated learning with clinical side departments.
- The Department also motivates MBBS student to involve in various short term Research Projects
- The Department is recognized as an important centre for Plastination.
- Around 10 Research articles are published in national and international journals.
- Infrastructure is available for teaching and demonstration to medical and paramedical students.
- The Department conducting Workshop on Plastination for every year in Post Graduate students.
