GRIEVANCE
The Department of General Surgery was established in 2004 and has been dedicated to excellence for the past 21 years under the leadership of Prof. Dr. S. Muthu MS. With a capacity of 170 beds and four advanced operation theatres, the department delivers high-quality care to over 5,000 outpatients and 1,400 inpatients monthly, performing more than 180 major surgeries each month. The postgraduate program, initiated in 2018, admits eight students annually, with four cohorts having graduated successfully; many alumni are now pursuing superspecialty training in various medical institutions. The department boasts a state-of-the-art surgical ICU and a well-resourced library containing over 125 imported books and more than ten international journals. Additionally, it offers specialized surgical services in gastroenterology, urology, and paediatric surgery, along with a dedicated outpatient department and a fully equipped 30-bed ward for podiatry. Daily outpatient procedures such as OGD scopy and colonoscopy are also conducted. Patients from surrounding states are drawn to our hospital for its exceptional care, compassion, and advanced medical expertise, fostering a strong commitment to personalized treatment that builds trust.
