With over two decades of dedication to surgical education and patient care, Dr. Muthu. S stands as a respected leader in the medical community of Tamil Nadu. His journey in medicine began with an MBBS from Tirunelveli Medical College (1994), followed by an M.S. in General Surgery from the esteemed Madurai Medical College in 2003.

Dr. Muthu began shaping the next generation of surgeons as an Assistant Professor at Theni Medical College in 2006, a role he passionately held for 11 years. His expertise and commitment took him briefly to Pudukottai Medical College in 2018 as an Associate Professor, followed by a return to Theni Medical College the next year.

In 2022, he took the helm as Professor and Head of the Department of General Surgery at Theni Medical College—bringing not only academic leadership but also a compassionate approach to mentoring students and caring for patients.

Dr. Muthu is known among colleagues and students for his calm demeanor, clinical and surgical precision, and deep-rooted belief in service through education. His contributions continue to shape the surgical landscape of South Tamil Nadu.
